Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • 3 oranges
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 2 oz. chopped walnuts
  • French dressing
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Wash mushrooms.
  • Lightly dry and finely slice.
  • Squeeze juice of an orange over them.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and leave while you peel 2 oranges.
  • Remove all orange pits and slice oranges thinly.
  • Lay crisp lettuce leaves in bottom of dish.
  • Put a layer of oranges and a layer of mushrooms, more oranges and a sprinkle of mushrooms on top.
  • Pour over a French dressing and sprinkle with very fine chopped walnuts.
