Ingredients
- 1 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 12 to 13 slices bacon
- 1/2 lb. chicken livers
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and halved
Method
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar and ginger in square baking dish, 8 x 8-inch.
- Cut bacon slices and chicken livers into halves.
- Wrap a piece of chicken liver and a water chestnut in each bacon piece. Secure with toothpick.
- Place in marinade.
- Refrigerate, covered, 2 hours and drain.
- Place rumaki on double layer of paper towels. Microwave at High 5 minutes.
- Reduce power to Medium.
- Microwave until bacon is brown, 12 to 18 minutes.
- Rotate every 3 to 5 minutes.
