Ingredients
- steak (sirloin or any type)
- water chestnuts
- bacon
- soy sauce
Method
- Cut your steak into bite size pieces (the steak does not have to be an expensive cut).
- Take your water chestnuts (sliced) and drain them.
- Cut bacon into thirds or halves (enough to wrap around steak).
- Wrap bacon around steak and a slice of water chestnut. Secure with a toothpick.
- Place in a bowl and pour soy sauce over steak.
- Cover and marinate overnight.
- (I prefer low sodium soy sauce; it makes the appetizer less salty.)
- Cook in broiler pan at 350° for 15 minutes.
- Serve alone or with sweet and sour sauce.
