Ingredients
- 1 round steak
- vinegar
- salt and pepper
- flour
- oil or shortening
- 1 can cream of mushroom
- 1 can water
Method
- Pat round steak with vinegar.
- Salt and pepper.
- Beat with mallet or side of metal lid.
- Let it stand for about 1/2 hour. Cut into serving size pieces.
- Pat with flour.
- Fry slowly in oil until brown.
- Pour off oil.
- Add cream of mushroom and water. Cover and cook slowly until it is tender.
- (I cook at least an hour on low.)
- Add water to gravy, if necessary.
