Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. warm water
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 Tbsp. sugar (heaping)
- salt to taste
- about 7 c. flour
Method
- Mix yeast with 1 1/4 cups warm water; let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
- Place 1 cup warm water in mixing bowl and add shortening, sugar and salt.
- Add yeast mix and flour to make a good, not too stiff dough.
- Let rise; punch down and make rolls. Let rise to double and bake quick.
