Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz. natural Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 12 oz. beer
  • 1 loaf French bread, cubed
  • dash of red pepper sauce

Method

  • Toss flour, salt, pepper and cheese.
  • Cut garlic in half and rub around fondue pot.
  • Heat beer in pot over low heat.
  • At high heat, add cheese, one cup at a time, stirring after each addition, until cheese is blended.
  • Stir in red pepper sauce.
  • Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.
  • Eat by spearing a cube with a fondue fork and dipping in the sauce.
  • Serves 4.
