Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
- 3 sticks oleo (room temperature)
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- pinch of salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Method
- Combine cream cheese and oleo and mix well.
- Add sugar and cream mixture until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add flour and salt; beat mixture for 3 minutes.
- Add flavoring and beat mixture for 2 more minutes. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and place in a cool oven. Turn oven to 300° to 325° and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
