Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3 sticks oleo (room temperature)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract

Method

  • Combine cream cheese and oleo and mix well.
  • Add sugar and cream mixture until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add flour and salt; beat mixture for 3 minutes.
  • Add flavoring and beat mixture for 2 more minutes. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and place in a cool oven. Turn oven to 300° to 325° and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
