Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. seedless raisins, grind fine
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • very little salt

Method

  • Grind raisins and set them aside.
  • Beat egg whites to a very stiff form, they will be ready for the boiling syrup.
  • Add sugar and water and boil until it makes a string when tested. Then while beating egg whites, pour the syrup into them and beat until they are fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  • Then add the raisins and vanilla and mix until all raisins are mixed in good.
  • Put on white cake.
