Ingredients
- 1/2 to 3/4 lb. seedless raisins, grind fine
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- very little salt
Method
- Grind raisins and set them aside.
- Beat egg whites to a very stiff form, they will be ready for the boiling syrup.
- Add sugar and water and boil until it makes a string when tested. Then while beating egg whites, pour the syrup into them and beat until they are fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Then add the raisins and vanilla and mix until all raisins are mixed in good.
- Put on white cake.
