- 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
- 34 cup fine dry breadcrumb
- 12 teaspoon coarse salt
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 14 cup white vinegar
- 12 cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 14 cup ketchup
Method
- Meatballs: Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well.
- Form into 32 meatballs.
- Heat oil in a large skillet.
- Add meatballs.
- Turn to brown on all sides.
- Cover and cook until done, stirring occasionally.
- Remove meatballs and drain fat from skillet.
- Sauce: Stir together sugar and cornstarch.
- Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and ketchup.
- Add to skillet.
- Cook and stir until clear and thickened.
- Add meatballs.
- Heat through.
