Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. rice, washed
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
Method
- Mix beef, rice, onion and seasoning.
- Form into small balls. Fry in hot fat, turning frequently, until light brown, but not crusty on all sides.
- Add sauce and water.
- Mix well.
- Cover and simmer about 45 minutes.
