Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. oats
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. cut rhubarb
  • nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water

Method

  • Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon.
  • Spread 1/2 of mixture on bottom of 12 x 9-inch cake pan.
  • Save rest for top. Place cut rhubarb into pan.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Mix flour with sugar.
  • Add boiling water.
  • Cook until thick.
  • Pour over other ingredients.
  • Sprinkle crumb mixture over rhubarb. Cook at 350° until bubbly, 35 to 40 minutes.
