Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 lb. deli corned beef
  • 1 lb. can sauerkraut, drained
  • 1/4 c. Thousand Island salad dressing
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 4 c. grated natural Swiss cheese
  • 4 to 5 c. diced dark rye bread
  • 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine

Method

  • Grease 9 x 13-inch baking dish and layer each ingredients in order given, mixing the salad dressing and mayonnaise together before spreading over sauerkraut.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasty.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
