Ingredients
- 4 c. sugar
- 4 c. vinegar
- 1/3 c. salt
- 1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 3 medium onions, sliced thin
- cucumbers, sliced thin
Method
- Mix the first 6 ingredients together.
- Pour over pickles and onions.
- No need to heat anything.
- Cover and let stand for 5 days in refrigerator.
- Pickles may be stored in the refrigerator for up to a year.
- Makes 1 gallon.
