Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
  • 1/3 c. white syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Combine milk and sugar in heavy saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Turn heat low. Cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Immediately add chocolate bits, Karo, butter and vanilla.
  • Stir until chocolate melts and fudge is smooth and creamy. Stir in nuts and mix well.
  • Pour in buttered pan and chill.
  • Cut into squares.
