Ingredients

  • 6 large garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
  • 1 c. fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 c. pine nuts
  • 1/4 c. half and half cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c. Romano cheese, grated
  • 1/2 pt. pure whipping cream

Method

  • Combine garlic, basil, pine nuts, half and half and salt in blender.
  • Blend at low speed until ingredients are chopped fine and form a paste.
  • Gradually blend in olive oil alternately with cheese, blending until well mixed.
  • Gradually add whipping cream, stirring until well mixed.
  • Use as sauce for pasta.
  • Good on ravioli or on sliced boiled potatoes.
  • (A little on the firm side, not sliced too thin.)
