Ingredients
- 6 large garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
- 1 c. fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 c. pine nuts
- 1/4 c. half and half cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. Romano cheese, grated
- 1/2 pt. pure whipping cream
Method
- Combine garlic, basil, pine nuts, half and half and salt in blender.
- Blend at low speed until ingredients are chopped fine and form a paste.
- Gradually blend in olive oil alternately with cheese, blending until well mixed.
- Gradually add whipping cream, stirring until well mixed.
- Use as sauce for pasta.
- Good on ravioli or on sliced boiled potatoes.
- (A little on the firm side, not sliced too thin.)
