Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 5 tablespoons chili powder
  • 12 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped fine
  • 48 ounces tomato juice, 1 lg. can
  • 6 ounces tomato paste, 1 sm. can
  • 15 ounces red kidney beans

Method

  • Brown ground beef in pan, stir while it is cooking.
  • This will make the meat a nice, fine texture.
  • Drain the meat leaving about 2 teaspoons of juice in the meat mixture.
  • Next add all the spices and the sugar.
  • Cook, stirring, for 3 minute {the fat juice will mix and blend the flavor better}.
  • Now add the tomato juice, tomato paste and kidney beans, simmer for about 1 hour.
