Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 lb. red onions, sliced and separated into rings
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground white pepper
Method
- In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add onions and saute 6 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook onions 15 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper into onions.
- Cook 5 minutes longer or until mixed.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm or at room temperature.
