Ingredients

  • 1 pound Red Lentils
  • 7 cups Water (filtered Or Bottled), Salted
  • 1 bunch Cilantro
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 6 Tablespoons Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 teaspoons Salt

Method

  • 1. Rinse lentils in a colander, making sure to remove any sand or small stones.
  • 2. In a large soup pot, boil lentils in the salted water, until tender.
  • 3. In the meantime, in a large skillet, saute cilantro and garlic in olive oil. Add to lentils.
  • 4. Add lemon and salt to taste and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • 5. Enjoy!
