Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 envelopes spaghetti mix
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella

Method

  • Brown ground beef in large skillet; drain.
  • Place ground beef in Dutch oven and sprinkle with 1 package spaghetti mix; spread half cottage cheese over meat.
  • Break noodles in half lengthwise; layer over cottage cheese.
  • Sprinkle with other package of spaghetti mix, Italian seasoning, parsley and salt.
  • Pour tomatoes, tomato sauce and water over mixture.
  • Cover and simmer over low heat for 35 minutes or until noodles are tender. Sprinkle shredded Mozzarella over top.
  • Cover and turn off heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Serves 6.
