Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lasagne noodles
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 (29 oz.) can tomato puree
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
  • 2 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. hot milk
  • 1 c. hot chicken stock
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
  • Place in cold water until ready to use.
  • Saute beef, pork sausage, onion and garlic; drain off fat.
  • Add olive oil, tomato puree, tomato paste, seasoning salt, pepper, parsley, basil and oregano.
  • Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
