Ingredients

  • 2 c. raisins
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 3/4 c. oatmeal
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cook
  • raisins
  • in
  • water
  • until
  • the water is absorbed. Cream butter
  • and
  • sugar;
  • add oatmeal, soda and flour.
  • Mix. Put half of the
  • batter
  • in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes
  • at 350°.
  • Combine
  • egg
  • yolks, sour cream, sugar and cornstarch
  • and mix
  • well. Stir
  • and
  • boil until thick.
  • Add raisins and vanilla.
  • Pour
  • over baked crust and add the rest of the crumbs on top.
  • Bake 30 minutes longer at 350°.
