Ingredients
- 7 to 7 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. warm milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. shortening
Method
- Heat milk. Add sugar, salt, yeast and shortening; blend well. Add to flour in a large bowl. Add eggs. Work together; let rise until double in bulk. Work down; let rise again. Roll and cut; let rise and then fry in hot oil. Be careful not to puncture doughnut when turning.
