Ingredients
- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. hot light cream or evaporated milk, undiluted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract or 1/2 tsp. rum extract
Method
- Melt chocolate over hot water.
- Remove from heat; let cool.
- In medium bowl, combine butter, sugar, salt and 3 tablespoons hot cream.
- With wooden spoon, beat until mixture is smooth.
- Add chocolate; continue beating until frosting is thick enough to spread.
- Add vanilla.
