Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1 1/3 cups instant potato flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • ground black pepper

Method

  • Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 2 minutes or until onion is tender.
  • Stir in water, evaporated milk, potato flakess, seasoned salt and dill weed.
  • Heat until mixture just comes to a boil.
  • Season with pepper.
