Ingredients
- chile (1-inch long slices)
- 2 lb. cubed roast pork
- 2 large onions
- 2 (#303) cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. water
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. salt
Method
- Flour pork and brown in drippings.
- Remove to pot; cook onions.
- Add chile to meat and onions in pot.
- Add remaining ingredients and stew until mixture is slightly thickened.
- Freezes well.
- Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
