Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Brazil nuts
- 1 1/2 c. pecans
- 1 (7 1/4 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, cut up
- 1 c. maraschino cherries, drained and cut in halves
- 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Put nuts, dates and cherries in a large mixing bowl.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt over nuts and fruit.
- Mix with hands until nuts and fruit are coated with flour mixture. Beat eggs until foamy.
- Add vanilla; stir into nut and fruit mixture.
- Turn into well-greased bread pan.
- Spread and pack down. Bake in a 300° oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until done.
