Ingredients
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. pumpkin
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/4 c. melted butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger together three times.
- Beat eggs until thick, adding sugar gradually as you beat.
- Whip in the pumpkin, then melted butter.
- Beat in the dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in the nuts.
- Pour into 2 buttered and floured pans.
- Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
