Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 16 oz. can pumpkin
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Cream together margarine and sugar, then add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  • Add to creamed mixture.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.
  • Pour into greased 15 x 10-inch pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and frost.
