Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. cooked prunes
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sugar (for egg whites)
Method
- Measure prunes whole, then remove pits and slice fine.
- Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
- Add egg yolks and beat until creamy. Add milk alternately with flour sifted with salt, baking powder and soda and beat well.
- Add prunes and flavorings.
- Stir until well blended.
