Ingredients

  • 3 c. crushed pretzels (buttered pretzel braids)
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. melted margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 large box strawberry gelatin
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries

Method

  • Mix first 3 ingredients.
  • Spread in baking pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 8 minutes.
  • Cool completely.
  • Beat together cream cheese, Cool Whip and 1 cup sugar until sugar dissolves.
  • Refrigerate for 8 minutes.
  • Spread over pretzels.
  • Melt gelatin in hot water.
  • Let cool; add strawberries.
  • Pour over cheese spread.
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
