Ingredients

  • 2 c. pretzels
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. melted butter
  • 8 oz. frozen strawberries
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 2 c. boiling water

Method

  • Crush pretzels (not too fine) and mix with sugar and butter. Press into a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  • Cook 6 minutes at 400°.
  • Cool. Cream 1 cup sugar and cheese, then add Cool Whip.
  • Mix well and pour over crust.
  • Chill approximately 2 hours.
  • Add 1 large strawberry Jell-O mixed with 2 cups boiling water.
  • Add frozen strawberries.
  • Spread on top of salad; chill.
