Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 12 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1 (9 oz.) carton whipped topping
  • 2 c. pineapple juice
  • 2 2/3 c. pretzels, broken into small pieces
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 large container frozen strawberries

Method

  • Mix cream cheese and sugar; set aside.
  • Place pretzels and butter in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture with lukewarm pretzels in bottom of baking dish.
  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling pineapple juice; stir in strawberries and allow to thicken to jelled point. Spread over cream cheese and pretzel mixture.
  • When set, spread the whipped topping on.
