Ingredients

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. cream chicken soup
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. crushed cornflakes, mixed with 1/2 c. melted butter

Method

  • Defrost potatoes and combine with melted margarine.
  • Add remaining ingredients, except the cornflakes.
  • Blend thoroughly; pour into greased 8 x 12-inch casserole dish.
  • Cover with buttered cornflakes mix.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
  • You can make ahead of time, but add topping when ready to bake.
