Ingredients
- 3 c. plus 6 Tbsp. unsifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Set aside.
- Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
- Beat in eggs.
- Gradually add flour mixture.
- Mix well.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Wrap in waxed paper.
- Chill 1 hour until firm.
- Divide dough into 4 parts.
- On wax paper, shape each part into 9 inch roll.
- Cut each chilled roll into nine 1-inch slices.
- Cut each slice into 4 quarters.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°.
- May refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze.
