Ingredients
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 qt. stewed tomatoes
Method
- Mix uncooked rice with hamburger meat, salt, pepper and onion. Shape into balls the size of walnuts.
- Brown on all sides in cooking oil.
- Use covered pan.
- After browning, add tomatoes, cover and cook slow for about 30 minutes or until rice is tender and meatball is almost doubled in size.
