Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. poppy seed
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Cream butter.
  • Gradually add sugar; beat well with electric mixer.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
  • Add sour cream and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, soda, salt and poppy seed; add to creamed mixture.
  • Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3 full.
  • Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, or until golden.
  • Remove from pans immediately.
