Ingredients

  • 3-4 apples
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon imperials
  • 2 tbsp. minute tapioca
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 3 egg whites
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. minced pecans
  • 5 c. popped popcorn

Method

  • Peel and core apples.
  • Chop in small pcs.
  • Make applesauce (about 1 c. water) adding cinnamon candies and tapioca.
  • Cook till thick; cold.
  • Beat egg whites.
  • When stiff, add in sugar.
  • Blend in popcorn and nuts.
  • Spread in buttered pie pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
  • Whip cream and fold into applesauce.
  • Pour onto cooled crust.
  • Chill.
