Ingredients
- 4 lb. plums
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
Method
- Wash and cook plums in a little water until tender.
- Press through a strainer.
- Add sugar and spices to pulp; cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until mixture thickens; stir often. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
- Yields 4 pints.
