Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. water and food coloring
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar or powdered alum
Method
- Place all ingredients in medium size saucepan.
- Mix with wire whisk.
- Place over medium-low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until consistency of mashed potatoes.
- Do not boil. Knead until cool.
- Dust with flour if dough is sticky.
- Add water if stiff.
- Store in airtight container.
