Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 7 c. flour
- 2 well beaten eggs
Method
- Soften yeast in warm water. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm and add softened yeast and eggs. Gradually stir in flour to form soft dough. Beat vigorously; cover and let rise to double in bulk. Turn out onto lightly floured board and use as desired. Grease pans if used for cinnamon rolls. Bake in 350° oven. Makes about 3 loaf pans full.
