Ingredients

  • 6 c. self-rising flour
  • 3 sticks oleo
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla or lemon extract

Method

  • Melt oleo.
  • Beat eggs.
  • Add sugar, then add cooled, melted oleo.
  • Gradually add flour until very stiff dough.
  • Pinch dough the size of English walnuts and place on greased cookie sheet. Take a bowl of sugar and dip a round potato masher in it, then mash dough balls nearly flat.
  • Bake at 375° until slightly browned.
  • Makes 6 to 9 dozen.
