Ingredients
- 1 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 1/2 to 3 c. flour (plus additional for kneading, if necessary)
- pizza sauce
- toppings (cheese, mushrooms, pepper, pepperoni, sausage, anchovy, as desired)
Method
- Sprinkle yeast over warm water in a bowl.
- Set aside until foamy.
- Place 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Make a well in center.
- Pour yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons olive oil in well and mix to form a dough ball.
- Let dough rest for 5 minutes.
- Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface (cookie sheet or pizza pan) with floured fingers.
- Make sure dough is smooth and elastic, knead and add additional flour, if necessary.
