Ingredients

  • 8 oz. elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. tomato/spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Mozzarella cheese, cut in strips
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey

Method

  • Cook macaroni; drain.
  • Brown beef and onion; drain.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups of tomato sauce, oregano, macaroni and egg.
  • Place in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  • Top with strips of cheese and remaining sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for serving.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
