Ingredients
- 8 oz. elbow macaroni
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. tomato/spaghetti sauce
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 egg, beaten
- Mozzarella cheese, cut in strips
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey
Method
- Cook macaroni; drain.
- Brown beef and onion; drain.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of tomato sauce, oregano, macaroni and egg.
- Place in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Top with strips of cheese and remaining sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for serving.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Serves 6 to 8.
