Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 c. pineapple juice or crushed pineapple (with juice)
- 4 c. sifted cake flour or Red Band or White Lily
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Method
- Cream shortening.
- Add sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Beat well.
- Sift dry ingredients three times.
- Add this and pineapple or juice alternately.
- Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
