Ingredients

  • 5 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 2 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Method

  • Mix flour and salt and cut in Crisco as for pie dough.
  • Beat egg in cup; add enough water to make 1 cup of liquid, also add vinegar to cup.
  • Then add egg to flour mixture.
  • Dough will be soft and sticky.
  • Make 4 or 5 balls and put in freezer to use as needed or can be used immediately.
  • Chill for 20 to 25 minutes, then roll out and bake.
