Ingredients
- firm cling peaches
- 1 pt. vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
Method
- Peel peaches using as many as syrup will cover.
- Make syrup by mixing vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves, boiling until rather thick.
- Add peeled peaches, one at a time.
- Cook until tender, not mushy.
- Remove fruit from syrup and place in sterilized jars.
- Boil syrup until thick; pour over peaches filling jars to top seal.
