Ingredients
- 1 lb. round steak
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 cube beef bouillon
- dash of soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. water
- 2 medium bell peppers
- 1 medium onion
- 2 jars (4 1/2 oz.) whole or chopped mushrooms (optional)
- dash of ginger
Method
- Sprinkle steak with tenderizer, cut in thin strips and brown in butter.
- Add 1 to 1 1/2 cups water and bouillon cube.
- Add soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer meat until tender (20 to 30 minutes).
- Combine cornstarch and 1/2 cup water and add to meat.
- Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add bell peppers (cut in strips), onion (cut in rings) and add drained mushrooms.
- Simmer covered 7 to 10 minutes.
- Serve over rice.
