Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
Method
- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add cream of tartar.
- Beat until soft peaks form.
- Gradually beat in sugar, a few tablespoons at a time.
- Beat until stiff.
- Fold in cocoa.
- Line cookie sheet with brown paper and drop batter with teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
- Bake in oven preheated to 275° for 18 to 20 minutes.
- Cool before removing from pans.
- Yield:
- 8 dozen.
