Ingredients
- 6 eggs, separated
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 pt. whipping cream
- 1 1/2 c. light rum
- 1 qt. milk
- 4 pt. half and half
- 1 c. brandy
- 2 c. bourbon
- freshly grated nutmeg
Method
- Combine milk, half and half and sugar until ingredients dissolve.
- Separate eggs and beat yolks well.
- Using low speed on electric mixer, add brandy very, very slowly to yolks.
- In same manner, add rum and bourbon.
- Add milk-sugar mixture to yolk mixture.
- Beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks.
- Beat cream until it is firm, but not too stiff.
- Fold cream into liquor mixture, then fold in egg whites.
- Grate small amount nutmeg. Chill overnight.
- Stir or shake before serving.
