Ingredients
- 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sifted enriched flour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. soft margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. coarsely broken pecans
Method
- Cheese Pastry:
- Let cream cheese and margarine stick soften at room temperature.
- Blend.
- Stir in flour.
- Make into a ball and wrap with Saran or wax paper to seal.
- Chill slightly (about 1 hour).
- Shape into two dozen balls (about 1-inch).
- Place in 1 3/4-inch ungreased muffin tins.
- Press dough against bottom and sides of cup.
